3DBODY.TECH Conference & Expo provides a platform of eminent professionals, entrepreneurs, academicians and researchers across the globe to present, learn and discuss the latest in 3D/4D human body scanning, body data and body processing technologies. The multidisciplinary character of 3DBODY.TECH makes it unique and not comparable to any other meeting related to 3D/4D body technologies.

3DBODY.TECH 2026 - The 17th International Conference & Expo on 3D/4D Body Technologies, will take place on 20-21 October 2026, in Lugano, Switzerland.

3DBODY.TECH 2026 will be held as a full in-person event with conference and expo taking place at the Lugano convention center, with all speakers presenting onsite (online/remote presentations will be possible only for exceptional cases) and with the large majority of attendees participating onsite. Online participation will be available for remote attendees. The entire contents of the conference and demonstrations of exhibitors will be live streamed and recorded for later view.

Our goals/expectations for 2026 are:

  • 200-250+ onsite & 25-50 online participants
  • 70-80+ onsite presentations (no online presentations)
  • 20-25+ onsite exhibitors

Authors wishing to present their works at 3DBODY.TECH 2026, have them published in the 3DBODY.TECH 2026 Proceedings and upon request also published as peer reviewed full papers in the 3DBODY.TECH Journal Vol. 3 Dec. 2026, are invited to submit their extended abstracts to the conference office until 30 April 2026. For exhibitors, 4 different levels are available: GOLD, SILVER, BRONZE, BASIC. Note: 30% discount on the exhibitors' fees is offered by registering before 1 March 2026. More details and exhibitors' registration are available at: Expo.

3DBODY.TECH 2026 will take place at the convention center in Lugano Switzerland, 80 km north of Milan Italy, 200 km south from Zurich Switzerland. More information about Lugano and details about the venue are available at: Venue.

The 3DBODY.TECH event platform/app will allow all participants to access all live streams, all recorded contents, and to use tools for networking with other onsite/online attendees, speakers, exhibitors. More details are available at: Platform/app.

The 3DBODY.TECH Proceedings website proc.3dbody.tech includes papers, abstracts and presentation videos (when available) of over 1000 publications/presentations of the past 3DBODY.TECH events. Included is also a dedicated search tool.

The technical/scientific papers published in 3DBODY.TECH Journal (accessible at jrnl.3dbody.tech) have been peer reviewed after being firstly submitted and presented at the annual 3DBODY.TECH Conference & Expo, and included in the 3DBODY.TECH Proceedings.

Conference director's message

The past 16 international conferences from 2010 to 2025 were largely attended by participants from different countries, different technical fields and different industries. The rich technical programs of all past events included wide varieties of works related to applications, developments and research on 3D & 4D body scanning, body data and body processing technologies from all over the world. The conferences were accompanied by parallel exhibitions featuring live demonstrations of 3D & 4D body scanning equipment and software solutions. Various manufacturers have chosen our events for presenting and announcing international premieres and for launching new products.

The good success of the 16th edition of 3DBODY.TECH Conference & Expo of 2025, with about 200 attendees (20% online), over 70 presentations and about 20 onsite exhibitors was achieved even by the tense international situation. International participants attended personally onsite and/or remotely online the 2-days conference and expo. Very appreciated was the increased flexibility offered by live streaming and recording all the contents of the event and by the immediate availability of the recordings on the event app/platform.

This year, with the 17th edition, 3DBODY.TECH Conference & Expo will continue its role as the world leading technical and scientific event dedicated to 3D/4D human body scanning, body data and body processing technologies.

Two major novelties added last year will be kept also for 3DBODY.TECH 2026: (1) the publication of peer reviewed full papers, firstly submitted and presented at 3DBODY.TECH 2026, in the 3DBODY.TECH Journal Vol. 3; (2) the return to a full in-person format with all speakers presenting onsite (online presentations will be possible uniquely for exceptional cases) and with the large majority of attendees participating onsite (80%).

At 3DBODY.TECH 2026 we will make treasure of the experience gained in the past 6 years by keeping the main advantages offered by the hybrid format (onsite+online) and by applying them on the full in-person event format, namely: (1) the increased and simplified networking opportunities offered by the event platform/app, and (2) the flexibility offered by live streaming and recording the entire contents of the conference and live demonstrations from exhibitors.

The 3DBODY.TECH event platform/app will ensure and allow: online participation for remote attendees, networking functionalities for all participants, view of all live streams from Lugano and later view of all recorded contents (available within 1-2 hours after the live sessions). All recordings will also be made available in the 3DBODY.TECH proceedings.
