Acceptance process, conference proceedings, ISBN, DOIs, online papers & presentations

The submitted extended abstracts will be evaluated and reviewed for acceptance. Authors of accepted abstracts should submit full papers following the given guidelines.

The submitted papers will be published as conference proceedings with ISBN number, available in digital form (on USB flash drive and/or FTP download).
DOI (digital object identification) numbers will be assigned to the single published papers.
The papers, abstracts and recorded presentations will be available online at the website 3dbody.tech/cap.

The works presented at the conference will be differentiated into three groups: accepted papers (upon review of the submitted extended abstracts), invited speaker presentations (with or without papers), technical presentations (mainly from exhibitors, eventually without papers).

A limited number of selected papers may be chosen for an additional academic volume. These papers will have to pass a peer review process by the scientific/technical committee before publication.

All the submitted abstracts and papers have to be presented onsite personally by one of the authors (online virtual presentations will be possible only in exceptional cases). Please plan to attend the whole 2-days conference, as changes in the program are possible until few days before the conference.
Reduced registration fees are available for presenters/speakers: registration.

Guidelines for full paper/manuscript preparation and submission

All full papers/written submissions for inclusion in the proceedings of the conference must follow the guidelines provided by the template document:

Guidelines for oral and poster presentations

All technical sessions will be happening simultaneously onsite at the convention center and live-streamed on the online conference platform. Both onsite and online participants will be able to see the presentations live and interact with the speakers.

Onsite presentation will be held by onsite speakers as usual live in the conference room, recorded and live streamed on the online conference platform.

Online presentations will be possible only in exceptional cases. These will be composed of prerecorded videos followed by live discussion with the online speaker via web conferencing; all simultaneously projected in the conference room and live streamed on the online conference platform.

The entire sessions with discussion will be recorded.

Oral presentations

Oral presentation should be approx. 18 minutes long. This will allow additional 4 minutes for questions and discussion. Note: less or additional time may be available depending on the session.

Please ensure you arrive before the start of the session in which you are presenting and introduce yourself to the chair of the session. Note: chairmen will be listed in the final program.

No specific template is defined for the presentations. Presenters can freely design and setup them according to his/her style.

Windows Laptops with MS Powerpoint will be available in the conference rooms. Please bring backups of your presentation on USB flash drive. We suggest however the authors to bring and use their own laptop to avoid compatibility problems (e.g. different versions of Powerpoint, linked files, videos, etc.).

LCD projectors in the conference rooms have HDMI connection and 16:9 display mode.

Important note for laptops and tablets: please bring the necessary adapters in order to connect your device with projectors featuring HDMI plug.

Please note that electricity in Switzerland operates on 220-240 Volts AC 50HZ and that Swiss 3-poles electric plugs are different from European-style plugs (European 2-poles electric plugs are compatible). Please bring with you the necessary adapters.

Online presentations (possible only in exceptional cases)

Online presentation should consist of a pre-recorded video presentation of maximal 18 minutes. This will be followed by additional 4 minutes for questions and live discussion via web conferencing. Note: less or additional time may be available depending on the session.

Pre-recorded video presentations should be prepared as video files (MP4, AVI) and sent to the conference office by our dedicated file sharing system (3dbodytech.wetransfer.com). No specific template is defined for the presentations. Presenters can freely design and setup it according to his/her style. Preferably include also a video narration (presenter captured by a webcam) which will make the presentation more alive.

Note: MS PowerPoint allows to record video and/or audio narration running through a presentation. For instructions on recording a slide show with video and audio narration using MS PowerPoint and on turning a presentation into a video, please click the following links: record slide show with narration, turn presentation into video.

Please send your presentation video file, before 30 September 2023, to the conference office by our dedicated file sharing system at 3dbodytech.wetransfer.com.

Poster presentations

Posters will be mounted on free-standing poster boards with push pins. All posters will have a net usable space of 90cm (36") wide x 120cm (48") high.

No specific template is defined for the posters. Presenters can freely design and setup it according to his/her style.

Authors should mount their posters on the assigned poster board, in the designated room. Posters may be mounted starting from 8:00 am on the assigned poster session day.

At least one named author is required to be present at the poster during the poster session and be available for discussion.
